Cody Cox, CMHC

Psychotherapist
851 N Main St, Logan, UT
I help clients heal the root causes of their struggles, not just manage symptoms. Combining functional nutrition with trauma-informed therapy, I address the body-mind connection for lasting wellness. No quick fixes, just evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs. My focus Adults who are frustrated with symptom-only treatments. You're dealing with chronic gut issues, fatigue, anxiety, or hormonal imbalances, and suspect that they're connected. You're ready to dig deep, not just cope. Committed to the work, open to mind-body healing, and seeking lasting change over quick fixes. My approach I specialize in addressing the biological side of mental illness without medications. I utilize my professional nutrition training as part of treatment to address organic mental disorders like depression, anxiety, bipolar, chronic stress, sleep issues, and more, making small, doable changes to diet and lifestyle. I also do mindfulness-based work. My communication style I operate from a collaborative and educational approach. I will do "talk therapy" in the sense that I will explore with you your childhood trauma and how things connect with how you feel right now. But I'll also address it from the biological side in small, doable ways, an approach that most other therapists won't do. My journey to mental healthcare Like most therapists, I come from a background of personal mental health struggles. But unlike most therapists, I went to graduate school with the intention of doing therapy differently because it didn't work well for me. What did work was mindfulness and nutrition. So that's my main approach, but I've gleaned other tools along the way. My goals for you It depends on what your goals are, but I will work with you to adapt homework to make it doable for you. If one thing we try isn't really your thing, we'll talk about it and make adjustments.
