Psychotherapist
851 N Main St, Logan, UT
Are you frustrated with conventional therapy approaches that don’t seem to go deep enough? Do you feel that you don't really have trauma, but are still feeling depressed, anxious, or stressed? If so, I may be the therapist for you. I believe the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected, and true healing comes from addressing all three. My approach combines conventional psychotherapy with whole-food nutrition and mind-body therapies like EMDR, EFT (tapping), and mindfulness. I call this nutritional psychotherapy.

Getting to know Cody Cox

Are you frustrated with conventional therapy approaches that don’t seem to go deep enough? Do you feel that you don't really have trauma, but are still feeling depressed, anxious, or stressed? If so, I may be the therapist for you. I believe the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected, and true healing comes from addressing all three. My approach combines conventional psychotherapy with whole-food nutrition and mind-body therapies like EMDR, EFT (tapping), and mindfulness. I call this nutritional psychotherapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My nutritional philosophy is generally a low-carb ideal as I find that that is most biologically and metabolically appropriate. My training stems from the work of Dr. Weston A. Price, which means I focus on whole, ancestral foods to nourish the mind and body. If you are not so interested in nutrition for mental health, I also do basic psychotherapy and nutrition as separate services.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Depending on whether you are seeing me for nutritional/metabolic psychotherapy or just basic psychotherapy, sessions can look a little different. Basic psychotherapy is what most people would expect from seeing a therapist. Nutritional psychotherapy has much more emphasis on nutrition and metabolic health. This means we will alternate mental health and nutrition sessions every week.

Don’t see your insurance?

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

More information on payments and coverage

I use a third-party billing service to process out-of-network benefits (that's if I'm not in-network with your insurance), and I contract with a company for in-network coverage with a handful of insurances. I can also take payments from church leaders and grants.
