Getting to know Cody Weaver

Hello! My name is Cody, and I'm currently licensed as an LCSW/therapist in Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor's degree from Coastal Carolina University in 2010 and then my Master's degree from Winthrop University in 2012. I began practicing while I was in graduate school, so I'm currently in my 13th year of practice. My clinical background includes outpatient therapy, in-home therapy, integrated behavioral health and primary care, inpatient treatment, and forensic psychology. Since I've worked in a wide range of settings, I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to mental health and therapy. The issues I've treated most include depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA concerns, trauma, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, and ADHD. If you don't see your concern listed, don't hesitate to ask! I often tell people that I'm a come-as-you-are type therapist who likes to foster an open and comfortable environment. Together, we can identify your concerns and goals, find the best way to address them, monitor your progress, and adjust as needed.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Cody has helped me grow so much into the person that I want to be. I have never felt more seen or heard by a therapist.
Cody has been amazing to work with and I would wholeheartedly recommend him.
I appreciate Cody because he meets me where I am...
Cody did an amazing job of getting me where I wanted to be mentally. He provided a space to explore my issues and helped guide me to find solutions. Very personable, authentic, and sensitive to unique needs.
Cody is the best and most effective therapist I’ve ever had. He has gotten to know me so well and is not afraid to challenge me on my thoughts and point out when I’m not seeing the whole picture. He practices with empathy while also being very evidence based and effective.
Cody is hands-down the best therapist I’ve worked with (I’ve had four others). His pacing and rhythm create a balance between time for me to talk and work out my feelings, pointed questions, observations and professional context. He’s observant enough to see when my thinking is distorted, and skillful enough to get me to arrive at that fact either on my own through guiding questions or through gentle feedback. I appreciate his evidence-based approach as well as the appropriate amount of sharing personal anecdotes to build rapport and connection. It’s also been huge for me to have support from a queer therapist as I don’t have to spend session time giving background context to my queer experiences for the therapist to get what I’m trying to tell them. I have already recommended Cody to a friend for whom he seemed like a good fit.
Cody is the best therapist I’ve had the pleasure of working with and he always makes me feel comfortable with vulnerability. He has an incredible personality and he’s very supportive. I would recommend Cody to everyone looking for therapeutic support.
