What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapeutic work is relational and I believe the relationship between the client and therapist is a powerful tool for the healing journey. I utilize a contextual behavioral approach, meaning I seek to understand behaviors and the contexts in which they arise. I incorporate elements of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to support clients in understanding their values and making decisions that align with their values. I practice kink, poly, and queer affirming work.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will start sessions by spending some time getting to know you and what you are wanting to work on in therapy. The primary focus of our initial sessions will be trust and rapport building. After the first few sessions, we will collaborate on treatment goals and create an outline of where you are looking to go in our work together.
