AZ
Hi there, I'm Colleen! Hello, my name is Colleen Casson, and I am a licensed professional counselor in Arizona. I see therapy as a collaborative partnership and strive to provide a safe and supportive space in which to explore barriers and rediscover your authentic self. My approach My approach is trauma-informed, consent-based, and client-centered. My focus I work with adults of all ages, genders, and gender identities, including LGBTQ+ individuals. I have specialized training in working with the effects of childhood trauma and dysfunction. I also work well with anxiety and panic, life transitions, personal growth, interpersonal challenges, and general mental health. My communication style I provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space. My journey to mental healthcare My own history of growing up in a dysfunctional family and experiencing various traumas attracted me to the field of therapy. Knowing how the work of my own therapy continues to change me, and witnessing post-traumatic growth in others, drives me to do this work. My education I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University. My goals for you I help clients explore what they most want for themselves and what may be getting in the way. My first session with you A typical first session is focused on getting to know each other and building rapport.
