I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood as they navigate some of life’s most painful and meaningful moments. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in working with individuals experiencing grief and loss, bereavement, major life transitions, depression, and relationship challenges. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and nonjudgmental, with a focus on helping clients process emotional pain while building resilience and meaning in their lives. I strive to support clients in making sense of their experiences, whether they are coping with the death of a loved one, adjusting to significant life changes, or feeling stuck in patterns of sadness or disconnection. Together, we work toward healing, emotional clarity, and finding a path forward that feels authentic and sustainable.

Getting to know Colleen Wong

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that I value authenticity, trust, and creating a safe space where they can express their thoughts and emotions openly without fear of judgment. I understand that grief, loss, and life transitions can feel overwhelming and deeply personal, and I work at a pace that is supportive, respectful, and tailored to each individual. My style is warm, present, and collaborative. I help clients feel understood while also gently supporting them in exploring their emotions, identifying patterns, and building coping strategies that support healing and emotional stability. My goal is to help clients feel less alone in their experience and more equipped to move forward in a way that honors their loss and their life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with getting to know each client’s story, including their current concerns, history of loss or transition, and emotional needs. Together, we identify what feels most painful or overwhelming and begin to create a supportive framework for healing. Sessions often include processing grief and emotions, exploring meaning and adjustment, strengthening coping skills, and addressing symptoms of depression or emotional distress. We may also work on relationship dynamics, communication, and rebuilding a sense of stability and connection in daily life. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, focusing on both emotional processing and practical tools to support clients through grief, life transitions, and recovery.
