Great to meet you! I am a national certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I provide professional counseling services to individuals of all ages, couples, & families in the greater Sebastian area in Florida. I specialize in restoring family and marital relationships by improving understanding and communication. My approach is geared towards individual development and an improved quality of life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I incorporate principles from a variety of treatment approaches, like CBT, REBT, Family Systems Perspective, Existential and Reality Theory, but I prefer the Person Centered approach to counseling and believe that the answers to our problems are already within us. We sometimes just need an outside perspective to recognize our strengths, talents, and gifts that can help us overcome any obstacle.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am very much solution focused and teach problem solving, conflict resolution, and goal setting strategies. I believe in mutual respect and utilize assertive communication and reflective listening skills to increase understanding and empathy. I focus on the individual by helping them identify strengths and talents within them that can be used to improve self-esteem and increase self-worth and my clients usually report feeling better after the first session.
