Corey is an experienced and compassionate psychotherapist. At Inner Gem Psych, they offer virtual counseling services for a wide range of mental health issues.
With a strong emphasis on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment, Corey encourages patients to express themselves freely. Corey guides patients through their journey to recovery, empowering them to manage their lives better.
Corey received his master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Concordia University. They are committed to staying current with up-to-date practices and developments with the goal of receiving the most effective therapeutic care possible.
At this time we currently do not accept medicaid.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Corey utilizes a multicultural and person-centered approach to foster self-understanding, emotional resilience, and overall well-being. As a trauma-informed therapist, Corey draws from other evidence-based models of therapy such as Adlerian Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I work to build a collaborative environment with you by listening to your story, your goals, and ways we can work together. Our initial sessions often focus on building a creating a safe and supportive space where you can share openly free of judgement.
We then collaborate on identifying values and beliefs that are important to you. Doing so, helps highlight your strengths and what's important to you as the whole person. These areas also help us develop realistic goals in therapy. Each of the sessions are specific to your needs that identify coping tools, and reflecting on how far you have come.

Corey is a warm, compassionate therapist who easily connects with multicultural issues in my life.
