Corey Shuck is a Licensed Social Worker who specializes in treating clients with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, anxiety, chronic pain and interpersonal issues. Corey received his Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where his work also included working with adults struggling with substance abuse issues.
Corey works with clients to develop skills to reduce stress, cope with change, and grow self-compassion. The cornerstone of his practice is developing authentic and trusting connections with his clients. He strives to create a space and atmosphere that allows clients to feel safe, vulnerable, and free to be themselves.
Corey’s clinical approach is strengths-based and person-centered, always taking into consideration each client’s unique cultural, biological, and psychological background. He recognizes that his clients are the experts on their own lives. His aim is to help them realize the wisdom they hold within themselves and to work collaboratively with them to create lasting change that honors their values and goals.
