Getting to know Corina Istanich

Welcome! My name is Corina, and I hold a license in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I earned both my Bachelor's degree and my Master's in Clinical Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University, a Christian university that has profoundly shaped who I am today. I am grateful for my education there, as my faith has developed me into the counselor I am now. I believe Jesus is the great counselor, and I strive to be His hands and feet in my work. I have been working in the counseling field for 8 years and have been licensed for 4 of those years. Most of my career has been in an inpatient addictions center, and I have also expanded my experience to outpatient and in-home therapy with various community agencies. I have provided services to children as young as 4 through adults in their 60s, including family therapy. I have worked with a wide range of issues, including family conflict, relationship challenges, communication difficulties, substance use, anger, stress, coping skills, and many other life concerns. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and sometimes incorporate techniques from other modalities when appropriate. My goal is to build a real, raw, and positive relationship with you, grounded in compassion and empathy. I will be sensitive but also direct in helping you find solutions to your current and past challenges. I believe that developing coping skills, setting boundaries, and improving communication can greatly enhance your quality of life and relationships. I see every interaction as the start of a potential flourishing relationship. As we grow together in the counselor-client relationship, this connection will support you in improving your relationships with family, friends, and coworkers. I am excited to meet you and work alongside you as you learn new ways to live your very best life! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
