I believe true growth and healing comes in moments of loving authenticity. We often grow up in environments that push and pull us in so many directions. The expectations can be overwhelming. We feel like we don’t know who we are or where we’re going. The feeling of security we’re looking for can be found within our cores. In choosing to be authentic to ourselves, and listening to our own needs, we can find the strength to take responsibility for our lives. If you can commit to reconnecting with your core, I can commit to guiding you. My number one priority in therapy is creating the sense of safety we need to be truly vulnerable. I work diligently with you to gain an understanding of where your concerns and fears come from, assist you to find meaning in the events of your life, and guide you in defining your authentic self. Mental health care is a pillar of over all health and longevity. I believe that it is pivotal in maintaining an effective approach to caring for yourself. I want to help you to stand in your own power. The power for change is present in your core. You know yourself better than anyone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I help young adults facing anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Many are recovering people-pleasers and burnt-out overachievers learning to set boundaries and reconnect with themselves. My approach is supportive, direct, and humor based, helping clients find balance, peace, self compassion, and authenticity without losing their ambition.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I draw from CBT to help identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and from Gestalt techniques to increase awareness of how they show up in the present. I integrate existential and narrative approaches to explore meaning, story, and identity. I use humor and metaphor to break down complex ideas into more relatable contexts, and to make insight more accessible.
