Getting to know Courtney Abasto Cali

Hi! My name is Courtney and I I graduated from Rutgers University with my masters in social work. I also graduated from the ACT program at Rutgers where I worked in a rehab center working with adults dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. I am an LSW and I also have a background in elementary and special education. In addition to having worked with children, I have experiencing working with adolescents and adults facing challenges such as, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, addiction, family issues and more. I believe in the use of DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing and using a strengths based approach to guide clients in the journey to overcome whatever challenges they may be facing. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment where all feel respected and in control of their own situation. Together we can work through it. When not in therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my dog, and watching hockey.
