Courtney Kreditor, AMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Medens Health. As an associate therapist with over two years of experience, I believe that therapy is about connection, compassion, and collaboration. I value the therapeutic relationship deeply and strive to create a space where clients feel truly seen, supported, and safe to explore whatever they bring into the room. My approach is warm and encouraging, but I’m also not afraid to gently challenge you when it’s needed, always with kindness and respect. I believe growth often happens just outside of our comfort zones, and I’m here to walk with you through that process, not push you through it. I’ve also sat in the client’s seat, so I understand firsthand how vulnerable it can feel to open up to someone you don’t know yet. That experience helps me approach therapy with empathy and humility. I’m not here to judge or tell you what to do. I’m here to guide, reflect, and support you as you navigate your unique path. However you show up, I’m happy to meet you there—and help in any way I can.

What should a new client know about working with you?

First and foremost, I see therapy as a collaborative process—we’re in this together. My goal is to build a strong, trusting relationship with you so that you feel supported and truly heard. I believe that healing and growth happen in the context of connection, so developing that relationship is a key part of our work. In our first few sessions, I take the time to get to know you as a person—what’s important to you, how you view the world, and what brings you to therapy. From there, we’ll start to explore the deeper issues at your own pace. I want you to feel safe, not rushed. We’ll work together to identify your goals and move toward them in a way that feels thoughtful and supportive. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and collaborative—never judgmental or directive. I’m here to help guide the process, but you’re always in the driver’s seat.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initially, my focus is on getting to know you. During our first couple of sessions, I ask questions to understand what brings you to therapy and to help you identify the patterns, challenges, and goals that matter most to you. We’ll also explore your family dynamics, how you grew up, and how those experiences may influence how you view yourself and the world around you. As we move forward, we’ll begin developing practical coping skills to help you manage stress and emotions. I also work with clients to recognize unhelpful self-labels—especially those tied to a diagnosis or past experiences—and instead, encourage a more compassionate and accurate understanding of themselves. Throughout our work together, I have adopted a positive and reflective approach. I’ll support you in becoming more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and how they connect. I aim to create a space where you feel empowered, not judged, and where meaningful growth can happen at a pace that feels right for you.
