Hello there! I am Courtney Cardenas, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing exceptional psychotherapy and counseling services to teens (15) through senior adults (60). I have experience with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-esteem, family issues, and marriage problems. I enjoy working with clients to help them identify and overcome personal obstacles that may hinder them from moving forward from issues that interrupt their lives.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University in 2016 and have been a therapist for over 8 years. I began practicing in a hospital setting with grief groups and then transitioned into private practice. Having experienced loss myself, I was able to connect deeply with clients navigating the stages of grief and learning to live in a world without their loved ones. Of course, grief can also relate to other types of losses in life, and I am here to help you navigate and process those emotions.
I work from different approaches to address clients’ individual needs, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Practice, and Solution-Focused Therapies. This won’t be an easy journey. There will be some challenges, and I will be here with you every step of the way, supporting you.
