What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring a calm and compassionate presence to sessions, which are typically relaxed and conversational. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable discussing anything. I also provide psychoeducational resources and worksheets that you can use between sessions. One of the benefits of virtual therapy is that it allows me to meet you wherever you are emotionally. Several of my family members worked in the human services field, and I was deeply inspired by their selfless dedication to helping others improve their quality of life. Their example sparked my own passion for making a positive difference in people's lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I help clients reach their goals by first building a strong, trusting relationship and collaboratively identifying what they want to achieve. From there, I tailor my approach based on their unique needs, using evidence-based techniques and practical strategies. Together, we break goals into manageable steps, build on their strengths, and work through any barriers that arise. I also provide tools and resources clients can use outside of sessions to support their progress and long-term growth. The first session is all about getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any concerns or questions you may have. I'll ask some background questions to better understand your history and current situation. It's a relaxed, judgement-free space where you can share at your own pace. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and supported as we begin working towards your goals together.
