Craig Lampkin, LMFT

Psychotherapist
FL
I am Craig Lampkin, a Native New Yorker. I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because I enjoy processing with individuals and listening to personal journeys, ultimately finding resolution. I attended a Performing Arts High School in New York City, an experience that empowered me to develop a unique therapeutic approach. By providing therapy through visual cues and various methods, individuals learn new coping, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton and my Master's degree in Child, Family, and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis on Family Relations from Florida State University. I am a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Rothschild Counseling and Consulting, LLC in Tallahassee, Florida. With over 30 years of experience working with children and families, my scope includes Marriage and Family Counseling, Domestic Violence and Batterer's Intervention, Child Welfare, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parenting, Anger Management, Child Development, and Individual and Group Counseling. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, watching movies, socializing with friends and family, and singing. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I find this work a unique challenge for couples and families. When two individuals enter a union, they bring their childhood experiences and family histories. Therapy's clinical journey brings these qualities and challenges together to build a new foundation and create a new life. I specialize in working with children and families involved in child welfare. I particularly enjoy working with young children and teens, some of the most challenging developmental years. Clients in this age group often experience trauma and distress from systemic and familial patterns. Parenting is also a challenge, especially with the daily stressors parents face.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
