“I started seeing Martin during a difficult period in my life when I was feeling stuck — a lot of it tied to unmanaged ADHD. From our first session, I felt genuinely heard and understood. He helped me unpack not just the challenges I was facing, but also how my brain works, which has been a game-changer! Over time, I’ve become more confident in managing my ADHD and navigating relationships, work, and all the chaos in between. If you're looking for someone who's empathetic, insightful, and able to cut through the noise to help you make real progress, I highly recommend working with him.”

Getting to know Craig Mead

Therapy is your opportunity to understand yourself better, improve your relationships, communication, and emotional skills, and find solutions to your specific difficulties. Sometimes, a third-party perspective helps us see things more clearly, as does talking through your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs with others. Understanding ourselves and those around us helps us navigate life's daily challenges with less struggle, emotional reactivity, and stress. I help clients improve their ability to manage depression, anxiety, family conflicts, relationship problems, and work stress. Learn how to significantly reduce anxiety without medication. I also assist with improving communication, assertiveness, and emotional regulation skills. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Aurora University, which equips me with the knowledge and skills to support clients effectively through their personal growth and healing journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I also specialize in adult ADHD and work with each ADHD client to understand the exact nature of their ADHD and what can be done to improve their overall functioning. We'll identify areas of improvement and begin building the strategies and skills needed to keep you organized, productive, and on time. You'll learn about why anxiety and ADHD are interlinked and how ADHD can negatively impact every aspect of your life, including all your relationships. I'll coach you through getting started on tasks, reducing procrastination, and improving organization, planning, task management, and time management skills. Together, we'll build bespoke strategies for the area that you need.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Let's start with a first meeting to see if we're a good fit. From there, we'll focus on the areas of your choice. Together, we'll make an action plan to address your specific needs. We can do a quick free talk or dive right in with a full session.

Craig has been incredibly helpful during a year of huge transition. I've found so much value in our appointments throughout massive upheaval in my life. I would recommend Craig to anyone who needs an objective perspective.
I have been going to Craig now for about 4 months. Craig has really helped me unpack issues I am facing while working with me to provide tools and techniques I can use to manage them. Craig has taken time to get to know me and not jump to conclusions or assumptions. He takes time and asks the right questions.
Craig has been very helpful in helping me understand myself better and make myself comfortable with who I am and how to navigate life and the trial and tribulations that come upon us time to time. He has been excellent and I encourage my friends and family members to seek counseling. He has been available and is a great listener and also provides resolution to my problems or insight on the issue at hand. He has helped me understand my brain and how it works, I can’t say enough good things about Craig!
Craig is great! I love working with him. It’s been about 6 months plus and we’ve gotten to a really good place, I believe. I look forward to each appointment because he is great at working with me personally.
