Craig Ordoyne, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in helping teens, young adults, and adults who feel weighed down by life’s challenges. Whether you are struggling with trauma, depression, or anxiety that feels overwhelming, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can be real about what you’re going through and discover hope that things can be different. I use evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and mindfulness-based techniques, tailoring therapy to your unique needs. Some clients come to process painful memories, others to build new skills, and many simply want to feel stronger, calmer, and more in control of their lives. No matter where you are starting, I walk alongside you with compassion, respect, and a belief in your ability to heal and grow.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me means stepping into a space where you don’t have to carry the weight alone. I believe progress happens through trust, empathy, and collaboration. I encourage clients to be open and honest, even when it feels hard, because authenticity is the foundation for real change. Sessions are tailored to you, sometimes that means slowing down to process the past, other times it’s building practical tools to manage the present. You can expect me to listen deeply, challenge unhelpful patterns with care, and celebrate every step you take toward healing and resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with getting to know your story and what brings you to therapy. In early sessions, we’ll identify your goals and explore what feeling “better” or “more in control” looks like for you. From there, I use a flexible approach that may include EMDR for trauma, REBT for reshaping thought patterns, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you manage stress and anxiety. Each session is guided by your need, sometimes focused on processing painful memories, other times on building new coping skills. Progress often looks like greater clarity, relief from constant worry, and a growing sense of strength in facing life’s challenges.
