Getting to know Crisha M Thebeau

Hi, my name is Crisha Thebeau, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I graduated with my Master’s degree in Community Mental Health from the University of South Florida in 2007. Since then, I have been a Mental Health Counselor and have held my Florida LMHC license for over 18 years. Before becoming a counselor, I worked with at-risk youth in rural Pennsylvania through AmeriCorps*VISTA and with juvenile offenders in Pinellas County. My entire career has been dedicated to serving others, with 30 years of experience working with diverse populations, including teens and adults. I am a non-judgmental and all-inclusive therapist, and for the past 12 years, I have worked exclusively with high school students in the school setting. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

"When we meet for our first session, we will review your concerns and what brought you to counseling. We will create goals to work on in each session and from there we will being to address these concerns. From day-to-day life struggles to self-harm and depression, I have a wide array of tools to help manage these concerns. I welcome and appreciate a collaborative experience. Clients have reported that they feel motivated and encouraged after sessions. I have been told that they feel comfortable and welcomed during our sessions. I am down to earth and have a laid-back style that many teens and adults appreciate. "

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
