What should a new client know about working with you?

Gear up! You’re on the journey of a lifetime! You’re in the driver's seat, and I’m your GPS guiding you along the way. We'll work to establish a powerful dynamic that is also a safe space where you can show up as your whole self. I’m committed and deeply invested in the therapeutic process, and you’ll need to be committed as well. Unlike some therapists who only think about you in session, and treat you as just another client in their caseload, I'm very engaged with clients in and outside of sessions, as life happens outside of the therapy room. During our work together, we’ll meet weekly, and I’ll utilize time in between sessions to provide you with resources or challenges to help move you toward your goals. Our sessions will be 60 minutes and sessions are informed by your treatment goals. I allow for open processing while also infusing structure in the process to measure and/or adjust treatment. You’ll receive workbooks, video clips, books, and visuals to explain concepts and supplement the great work we’re doing in session together. I’m flexible and willing to customize your treatment so that it serves you. Our sessions will be a hybrid of processing and skill-building. We’ll talk through underlying issues contributing to why you may feel stuck, shamed, or sad. Client’s often ask me to explain why they behave a certain way. What a great question! I’ll use metaphors, energy, and evidence-based modalities to help you connect those dots. This will help make sense of childhood experiences and how they manifest into adulthood.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
