Getting to know Crystal Marco

Hey there! I'm Crystal. For me, counseling is more than just a career -- counseling is my passion. I have known from the age of 17 that I was meant to be a counselor, and from that moment forward, I set out to follow my dreams and help others. I graduated from La Salle University with a Master's Degree in Professional Clinical Counseling. I am currently licensed in PA as a professional counselor (LPC) and am also certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, community mental health, foster care, long-term care facilities, and hospice. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I help individuals and families understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while providing you a path towards acceptance and change. In the counseling room, I take an eclectic approach and am sure to sprinkle in techniques from strengths based therapy, positive psychology, with a splash of CBT and DBT. I specialize in working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and life transitions. But my true niche is connecting with trauma survivors, adolescents and LGBTQIA+. I am truly here for you. I may be a therapist, but I’m also a human. Genuinely, I just want to be another down-to-earth person in the room helping you navigate your own journey in this crazy thing we call life. I believe that each of us come to counseling when we are not in our ideal space, and that the reasons we seek help are as unique as we are. I make it a point to provide you with humility, validation, empowerment, insight, and humor -- with a boisterous laugh that will make you smile!
