Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Curby Rogers. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I find it remarkable to help others discover who they are, their strengths, and the negative beliefs that can haunt their lives. Together, we can work towards achieving the goals you look forward to accomplishing. I specialize in treating teens and adults from various backgrounds, focusing on attachment theory, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Additionally, I offer support for family relationships, gender identity, grief and bereavement, sex and intimacy issues, stress, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, and LGBTQIA+ support through SonderMind Video Telehealth services. My journey in mental health includes working in various residential treatment facilities as a family and individual therapist, serving as an elementary guidance counselor and special education professional, and most recently, acting as the clinical director of a residential treatment center for adult women focusing on healing from trauma. My passion for long-term healing and promoting resilience has brought me into private practice, where I can witness growth in an outpatient setting while working with teens, families, and adults. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Saint Augustine's University in 2007 and my Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University in 2014. I am trained in and practice using many client-centered techniques, including EMDR and DBT. My holistic approach incorporates Systems Theory, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based techniques to help individuals meet their potential. Resilience is at the core of the work I do, and I look forward to helping as many people as possible cultivate their resilience throughout my lifetime as a therapist. If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
