Getting to know Cynthia Cassil

I am a therapist passionate about helping adults find healing from trauma. Whether recovering from childhood abuse years ago or coping with the stress of recent global events, I am dedicated to helping my clients transform pain and feel empowered again. I believe unresolved trauma is at the root of many reasons people seek therapy, and I am on a mission to help. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds in various settings across Los Angeles and Orange County. As a family member of veterans who have served in multiple branches and eras of the US military, I bring years of specialized training and experience providing clinical services to military veterans and their family members, including male and female survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST).

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She’s amazing :)
I feel very comfortable with Cindy. I love her smile and she is genuinely concerned about me. She feels more like a friend then a therapist, which I think is her best quality.
Cynthia makes you feel 100% comfortable to talk to her about anything. I'm so happy I found a therapist who can help me work through a lifetime of trauma and anxiety. She is understanding and not pushy. She doesn't judge you or make you feel like whatever is bothering you is not important. She is there for you. I feel like I am able to slowly start living my life the way I want without being held back by my traumas and anxieties. I cannot recommend her enough.
Cyndie has helped me to reflect on events from my childhood and how they have impacted the way I participate in my current relationships. Cyndie is empathetic, open-minded, and solution oriented.
Cynthia has allowed me to detach from many of the unhealthy attachments I once had. It does not happen overnight - however her insights and practices have allowed me to set boundaries and realistic expectations that have really catalyzed my journey to be where I once was: The Real Me. She gives me a safe space and have never felt uncomfortable or apprehensive in regards to how little or much I share with her during our sessions.
