I offer a trauma-informed space where children, teens, adults, and families can explore emotional experiences with clarity, compassion, and developmental sensitivity. My work integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotional regulation, identity development, and caregiver collaboration, always paced to honor lived context and individual readiness. I specialize in supporting neurodivergence, trauma recovery, and complex family dynamics through relational depth and strengths-based care. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I bring clinical rigor and warmth to each session. I hold a forensic counseling certificate, completed cultural competency training, and am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision with advanced training in trauma-focused CBT. My practice is grounded in ethical care, inclusive advocacy, and a deep commitment to continuity across systems. Therapy with me is collaborative, intentional, and attuned. Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, grief, transitions, or relational stress, I tailor interventions to meet you where you are, with structure, emotional pacing, and authentic connection.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is a partnership. I prioritize emotional safety, developmental pacing, and clear communication. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing space for insight, skill-building, and reflection. I use an integrative approach grounded in CBT, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing, adapting interventions to fit your goals, identity, and lived experience. I work best with clients who value collaboration and are open to exploring patterns, strengths, and challenges. I welcome neurodivergent individuals, caregivers, and those navigating trauma, transitions, or relational stress. My style is warm, direct, and attuned, I offer scaffolding when needed, and space when growth calls for autonomy. I also support families and caregivers through psychoeducation, visual behavior supports, and rhythm guides to help translate emotional needs into actionable care. You can expect transparency, consistency, and a commitment to honoring your voice throughout our work together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session focuses on building rapport, clarifying goals, and identifying strengths. I’ll ask about your current concerns, past experiences, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll co-create a plan that reflects your needs, pace, and preferences, whether that’s skill-building, emotional processing, or caregiver collaboration. Sessions typically include a blend of structured interventions (CBT, regulation strategies, identity work) and open dialogue. I may use visual tools, psychoeducation, or behavior flowcharts to support understanding and integration. For youth and families, I often incorporate rhythm guides and caregiver coaching to reinforce progress outside of sessions. I check in regularly to ensure our work remains aligned with your goals. Whether you're seeking short-term support or long-term healing, I offer a consistent, attuned presence and a process that honors your growth, autonomy, and lived experience.

I accept a range of commercial insurance plans (e.g., Aetna, Cigna, BCBS) for telehealth services through my Youngsville location, and I accept North Carolina Medicaid plans (e.g., Alliance, Vaya, Partners) for both in-person and telehealth sessions in my Henderson practice. Please verify coverage and eligibility with your insurance provider prior to scheduling, as benefits may vary by plan and service type. Session fees are processed at the time of service. I accept major credit cards, HSA/FSA accounts, and offer a limited number of sliding scale slots based on financial need. Court-Related Services: Any court involvement—including testimony, documentation, or attendance—is billed out-of-pocket at a flat rate of $2,000 per day. This rate reflects the unpredictable nature of court scheduling, preparation requirements, and the impact on clinical availability.
