Psychotherapist
633 Cartpath Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC
As a mental health counselor and addiction specialist with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, I counsel women ages 18 and above who face issues related to trauma, PTSD, mental and emotional health, eating disorders, and substance and/or alcohol use problems. Seeking help can be scary, but it is the first step toward facing and overcoming the challenges that hold us back from reaching our goals. I look forward to supporting women of all ages and backgrounds to build on their inner strength and improve their lives and futures. Overcoming trauma, abuse, and tragedy can be difficult, but it is a journey worth taking because there is hope and light when we are ready to seek it. Our struggles can become strengths that better our lives and the lives of others in the future.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Hi, I am Cynthia. I am glad you are here because seeking help is the first step to wellness. I have personally experienced and researched how being physically active and connecting with nature and spirituality can help one overcome addictions and improve one's overall well-being. If you are a woman struggling with alcohol or substance use issues and additional mental health or emotional issues and would like to meet online, in-person, or in outdoor settings to walk, talk, or connect with nature in a stress-free environment, let's explore how we can work as a team to address your needs, set goals, and better your life and future. I look forward to listening, supporting, and walking beside women of all ages to help them better their life and future.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use mindfulness, emotion focused, eco/nature, and Christian or spiritual therapy in indoor, outdoor, and online settings. In the first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy and ways to address your needs. Throughout therapy, we will examine how your thoughts and emotions affect your life and healthy coping techniques to improve your future.
