Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Cynthia! If you’re feeling anxious, sad, overwhelmed, or struggling in an important relationship, you’re not alone. I can help you better understand what you’re feeling and what you need, so you can communicate more clearly—with yourself and with the people who matter most to you. My focus I work with adults who are going through life changes, relationship struggles, trauma, or difficult emotions. Together, we’ll work through what’s happening so you can feel more confident, empowered, and better able to move forward in a way that feels right for you. My approach My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re feeling, help you trust yourself, and find practical ways to handle what’s happening in your life. I may use mindfulness and other approaches, but you’ll always have a say in what feels right for you. My communication style My communication style is open, supportive, and non-judgmental. I listen closely and want you to feel safe being yourself, even when difficult emotions come up. You can count on me to stay calm, patient, and present with you as we work through whatever feels challenging. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began in childhood. My mother struggled with depression, and in our rural community, little help was available. I saw first hand how emotional struggles can affect not only one person, but an entire family. That experience inspired me to understand people more deeply and help others create healthier lives. My goals for you We’ll set goals together based on what matters most to you—whether that’s improving relationships, building confidence, healing from trauma, or making changes in your life. As you grow and things change, we’ll adjust your goals along the way to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.
