I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey with a passion for aiding and supporting others in the processes of change, healing, and empowerment. I received my degrees from South University, and I have been practicing for over 10 years. I have experiences working with children and families, adolescents, adults, couples, and groups. My approach is humanistic, client centered, solution focused, and strengths based. I have training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma and abuse, substance abuse disorders, anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring disorders and mental health issues. I also work with clients dealing with abandonment and issues that they have due to childhood and recent traumas, including grief and loss issues. I specialize in trauma, child-parent / family issues, and abuse issues as well as domestic violence. I am a certified EMDR, Teen positive Parenting Program (Teen Triple P), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), a DCF-certified/ court-approved Batterer Intervention Program (BIP) provider and a court-approved anger management and parenting class provider. Being comfortable, feeling safe and at ease with your therapist is vital for a strong therapeutic alliance.
