Cynthia Pedersen, LCSW

Psychotherapist
2631 NW 41st St, Ste E5, Alachua, FL
I view therapy as a journey to attain a better understanding of yourself and what is important to you. We all want to live our best lives. What brings you to therapy is where we start. What are your goals? What may be the challenges that get in the way? Together, we will develop a plan with your goals and your needs at the center. I work with people facing various challenges and experiences. My goal is to help you gain the tools and confidence to be your best self and truly know it. We are all on a learning journey. I provide both in-person and telehealth sessions. Offering both venues allows access to therapy at times when coming into the office may not be possible. I work with issues related to anxiety and depression. Additionally, I have an extensive background in working with trauma-related issues as well as substance misuse. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I will work with you to provide a safe space to share without judgment-for you to explore and learn about yourself and how to move forward without the hindrance you have been struggling with.
