Getting to know Cynthia Poole
Hello! I am Cynthia Poole, founder of Piece by Peace Therapeutic Counseling Services, LLC. I carry the badge of Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years' experience as a Licensed Mental Health Professional. With my solid educational background forged at the University of Memphis, where I earned my BA and MA in Social Work, I specialize in Military Social Work. Fueled by my personal journey as a 20-year retired Army Veteran, I delve into counseling Veterans and their families.
As a member of the National Association Of Social Workers (NASW) and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority INC, I strive to continuously grow as a professional. Having been a Foster Parent for five years, I learned firsthand the challenges faced by children and adolescent teens which spurred my interest in Social Work.
Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of roles: Medical Home Health Care Social Worker, Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Transitional Counselor, HIV/AIDS Social Work Counselor, Medical Dialysis Social Worker, VA Mental Health Intensive Case Manager and VA Homeless Center Social Worker.
Certified as a Compassion Fatigue Trainer for Healthcare, Mental Health and Caring Professional (CCFP), Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Mandatory Pre-Screening Agent, I remain an avid learner to refine my competencies as a Mental Health Professional.
In my counseling practice, I remain non-judgmental, amply using evidence-based interventions including Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy, Task Center, Solution Focused, Anger Management, and Grief/Loss Therapy among others.
Piece by Peace Therapeutic Services, LLC currently offers HIPAA compliant tele-health for those eligible by insurance or self-paying clients. In-person office appointments are also available.
My mantra is, “You Only Need a Heart Full of Grace and a Soul Generated By Love and Together We're Better,” echoing the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
