Cynthia Sewell, LPC

Psychotherapist
103 N College Ave, Ste 2, Fayetteville, AR
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 7 years of experience as a therapist in many different areas. I served 8 years in the Air National Guard, leading the Yellow Ribbon program for deployed service members and their families to assist in finding help in many areas, including mental health services. I have also worked with teens, college students, developmentally disabled persons, and adults. I am passionate about helping others improve their health mentally, physically, and spiritually. My approach Your therapy will be a collaborative experience where we work together to use an integrated style of therapy that focuses on the mind and body as a whole. I will combine different treatment approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centered Therapy, to best fit your needs. I am certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Dialetical Behavioral Therapy, and Nutrition and Holistic Integration. Your mental health is as important as your physical health. To be healthy in one area, we must be healthy in all areas of functioning. Treating the whole person is an important part of treatment. Your physical, mental, spiritual, and social health is important for overall well-being, and health is my priority, and we will work together to find a balance. My focus I enjoy working with ages 12 and up who come in for a variety of issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, social skills, trauma, mood disorders, and everyday common problems. People often get stuck in a negative mindset and struggle to get out. Let me help give you the tools you need and work together to get you out of the darkness and enjoying your life again. My communication style I offer an empathetic ear to listen with a non judgemental appraoch to your situation. You can expect me to actively listen while also helping you to gain insight into your life or the challenges you are facing.
