Hi, I’m Daiana Bernard, LMHC, a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) offering virtual therapy across Florida. I help adults navigate grief, trauma, and identity challenges with a grounded and compassionate approach. Many of my clients are millennial women who feel caught between cultural expectations, family pressures, or the invisible weight of past experiences. Whether you’re coping with a loss, processing trauma, or struggling with who you are becoming after change, I provide a space where your story is honored and your healing is prioritized. With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I integrate evidence-based approaches like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. These methods help clients release stored trauma, process difficult emotions, and take meaningful steps toward healing, even when the pain can’t fully disappear. I specialize in working with individuals who may have tried therapy before but are ready to go deeper, moving beyond coping to true transformation. Every session is tailored to your unique background, needs, and values. My goal is to support you in finding resilience, meaning, and growth while creating a therapeutic experience that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering. If you’re looking for therapy that honors your identity, your story, and your healing journey, I’m here to support you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and deeply respectful of your pace. I know how hard it can be to open up, especially when you’ve been the strong one for so long or come from a background where emotions weren’t always safe to express. My role is to walk alongside you, not push or fix you. We focus on what matters most to you and build from there. I often use Narrative Therapy to help you explore the stories that have shaped you; stories from family, culture, faith, or past experiences and support you in rewriting the ones that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll make space for both pain and possibility, helping you move forward with more clarity and self-trust. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what to say. If all you can do is show up, that’s enough. I’ll meet you where you are with warmth, curiosity, and care. Clients often tell me they feel seen and understood in ways they haven’t before. That’s not because I have all the answers it’s because I create space for you to reconnect with your own voice, your values, and your vision for healing. You’re welcome to reach out with questions, or even just to see if we’re a good fit. No pressure, just support.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with a 75-minute intake session. During this time, we’ll go over your biopsychosocial history, explore what brings you to therapy, and start identifying the patterns, stressors, or life events impacting your well-being. It’s a chance for us to lay the groundwork, not just for healing but for clarity, direction, and mutual understanding. I’ll also explain how I tailor therapy based on your goals and needs, whether we’re working through trauma, grief, cultural identity stress, or relational conflict. Depending on what fits best, I may integrate evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). By the end of the first session, we’ll create a plan that works for you and schedule your next session typically a 50-minute follow-up. Some clients prefer to meet weekly or biweekly. My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed. I don’t rush the process or expect you to “perform” healing. You’re encouraged to show up exactly as you are. We move at your pace, with space for both structure and softness.
