“Dan was exactly what I needed in a therapist. He has helped me through a time of great stress dealing with a seriously sick spouse and what I was required to do. He did not tell me what to do but helped me evolve and figure out how to help him and in turn help myself. I feel so much stronger and I have Dan to thank. I highly recommend Dan. He has helped me more than I can say.”

Getting to know Dan Dean

Hello! My name is Dan, and I have been in the psychology and human services world since 2010. I earned my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2018 from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. I specialize in helping people dealing with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. One of the most powerful effects I have found in therapy is providing a safe space where you are heard, understood, and accepted. We all have stress and struggles at times, and there is great healing in exploring and touching those feelings. In therapy, I can help with finding the root cause of your behavior, which is caused by feelings and impacted by your focus. I can work with you in discovering unmet needs, feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, and feeling lost. Let's work together towards your goals!

What should a new client know about working with you?

The goals I set with you as the client are to decrease the unwanted thoughts and emotions you have, lower your stressors, and increase your overall quality of life! I am happy to do this work with you and look forward to speaking with you about what goals you would like to achieve together.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

When I started my therapy sessions with Dan, one aspect that truly resonated with me was the valuable feedback he provides each week. This reflection not only reminds me of my progress but also helps me revisit my emotional and mental state during our previous appointment. Therapists like Dan have a remarkable ability to connect with their clients, guiding them as they navigate the complexities of their lives, aspirations, and dreams, while helping them stay focused on their paths. I tend to procrastinate, often feeling overwhelmed by the tasks and challenges ahead. Dan’s insightful prompts and gentle encouragement keep me accountable and motivated. He has been a guiding light for me during a challenging year. Through tragedy and heartbreak, he has assisted me in focusing on what I can control.
Dan is very easy to talk to.
