“Dana is literally the BEST therapist I could have ever hoped to find. She has helped introduce me into the world of my recently diagnosed ADHD (just about 2 years ago!) And has helped me tremendously as I navigated through learning about myself and how to be kind to myself-- and as Dana always says "give yourself grace". Dana listens without judgment, and is so sweet, supportive, and funny, and I look forward to every session!”

Getting to know Dana Mariano

Welcome! I earned my EdD in Counselor Education and Leadership from Shippensburg University. I also hold a master’s degree in School Counseling, which I completed in 2008. For the last 15 years, I have worked in school settings with students aged 11 to 20. I have extensive experience supporting those dealing with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Additionally, I work with teenagers facing various school stressors, physical challenges, and relationship issues. I understand that taking the first step toward counseling can feel intimidating, and I commend you for your courage and commitment to growth. Together, we will embark on a transformative journey, working collaboratively to unlock your potential and create positive changes in your life. I am excited to work with clients in a virtual setting. Although we won’t be in the same room, I use a whole-self approach that addresses not only your emotional needs but also your physical well-being. The virtual space I create is designed to help you heal and grow. I look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to take away a feeling of acceptance and being heard. There may be some sessions that are more difficult to process, and those times may leave you feeling emotionally tired by the end. It is very important to me that your needs are met during our sessions together.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
