What should a new client know about working with you?

Everyone has a story shaped by their families and experiences. I’ve always been drawn to helping people find healing and joy in how they experience themselves and freedom in navigating their world. My early work with people who experienced trauma, teens, and new parents grounded me in a mind-body approach to health and well-being. After I experienced a life-altering cycling accident in 2009, I began designing clinical technology for mental health and chronic conditions. This deepened my understanding of the importance of building a resilient mind-body connection in response to unprecedented technology intersections in our experience of the world. Our range of resilience is how we respond to life's changes. Today, I help people find the connections between their mental and physical health, empowering them across their health span and lifespan.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the intake, I aim to gain an initial impression of how you are experiencing your life and learn your goals and circumstances for working together. As we meet, I’ll help you notice how your words and body indicate nervous system responses that provide insight into your resilience. By tuning in to your mind-body state, you can practice following your body’s cues to develop a deep reservoir of well-being. This subtle yet transformative work uses small actions to shape all aspects of your life. As you learn to notice your breathing, experience your senses, and quiet your mind, you’ll respond more freely in relationships and daily challenges, creating calm and peaceful states in difficult and busy situations. Building resilience has cumulative and long-term effects correlated with improved health outcomes, longer life, and reduced negative associations with aging. I work with those new to mind-body exercises and those with experience in various somatic practices.
