Hey there, I'm Dani. Sometimes life can surprise us. Whether the surprise is sudden or more of a “slow sneak up,” we find ourselves asking “how did this happen?” all the same. These surprises often feel daunting and overwhelming and can make us feel isolated and alone in our attempts to navigate through them; we can get stuck. That’s where therapy can come in. It is my honor to walk alongside you while you get your bearings for the next leg of your life journey. Learning to see these surprises in a new light, ascribing meaning to life’s circumstances, and being able to share your story and have an active hand in what comes next is empowering and healing. I find people are very much like snowflakes—no two are exactly alike—and likewise, your story is uniquely yours. However, unlike snowflakes, people have a strength and resilience that helps them continue forward even when faced with adversity. My focus is always to understand you as a wholly unique human being and to help you realize your own inner strengths and resilience. I'll help you do this by exploring how you engage with the world around you and how your values and beliefs shape that engagement. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Messiah University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively. I aim to create a warm and safe space where you can safely navigate the growing pains of change and discover your best self on the other side of your adversity. My primary objective throughout our work is to establish and maintain a strong therapeutic relationship and to partner with you in your quest to reach your goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Typically, the first few sessions (1-3) are more of a meet’n’greet. We get to know one another, and you begin to share your story and determine if I am a good fit for you as your clinician. I listen to your story and consider possible focal points for us to start our work together. After this, we’ll collaboratively determine your therapeutic goals and ways to gauge their progress. This gives our work direction. Over time we’ll periodically check in on and reevaluate your goals until we reach the point where counseling is no longer needed. Sometimes, it can be hard to hold on to the hope that things will get better and that we will heal from whatever storm life has thrown us. When this happens, I will be your hope-bearer. I will carry it for you until you feel able to hold onto hope again.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
