Daniel Boe, LPC

Psychotherapist
PA
Greetings! No matter what kind of hardships people are facing, I believe there are always opportunities to identify strengths and take steps towards growth and healing. I’ve walked alongside children, teens, and adults as they’ve navigated incredible difficulties, and I find great joy in celebrating the wins in each person’s journey. Helpful therapy is so often built upon a strong therapeutic relationship, so I aim to start there. Within that relationship, I utilize a trauma-informed and multi-modal approach that includes CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Strengths-Based Therapy, among others. I truly enjoy exploring the connections between physical, spiritual, and mental health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have 10 years of professional experience providing therapeutic services, including extensive work with children, teens, and young adults as an LPC school counselor. I have experience helping people of all ages navigate depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, relationship dynamics, decision-making, and other challenges.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am patient, gentle, compassionate, and non-judgmental in my care. I aim to be an excellent listener and allow the client to steer the ship in whichever direction is most helpful. I sometimes provide a more direct coaching style upon request, as I hope to match the client's communication needs. I truly enjoy the Strengths-Based approach to therapy. Everyone has true strengths, and I have had the honor of walking alongside many people as they have explored, identified, and built upon those strengths on the journey towards growth and healing. I've had a front-row seat to some amazing transformation and change! As noted elsewhere, I believe helpful therapy is built on a strong therapeutic relationship. I often spend the first session getting to know my clients and their background. I ask to hear their story, and I aim to listen well as they tell it. We might stumble upon a few preliminary strengths, but mostly just get to know each other. Goal-setting and therapeutic "work" will come after, in due time.
