You might feel a restlessness that you can't explain. A tightness in your chest that shows up without warning. A pattern in relationships that keeps repeating no matter how hard you try. What's underneath is usually something your system has been carrying for a long time — and is ready to release. Trauma doesn't have to be a dramatic event. It just has to be something that got stuck. And with the right support, what got stuck can move. I'm Daniel, a Licensed Professional Counselor (MS, LPC) with over 13 years of clinical experience helping adults release emotional pain, shift deep-rooted patterns, and feel like themselves again. I specialize in EMDR and Brainspotting — two approaches that help your nervous system finally let go of what it's been holding. My background spans individual therapy, performance psychology, and somatic approaches. I'm trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, ACT, and CBT, and I also draw on breathwork, meditation, and HeartMath as regulatory tools when the work calls for it. Sessions are conducted via telehealth, are warm and focused, and move at your pace. Every session begins with a brief pause — a short breathwork or grounding practice to help you arrive fully before we do anything else. If you're exhausted from working on yourself and still feeling stuck — that's not a character flaw. It's a sign the pattern needs a different kind of help. I'm here when you're ready.

Getting to know Daniel Da Silva

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session is a chance for us to get clear on where you are, where you want to go, and what's been getting in the way. It feels like a conversation — warm and unhurried — but we cover what matters: your history, your goals, and what you're ready to work on. Every session begins with a brief pause — a short breathwork or grounding practice to help you arrive fully and settle your nervous system before we do anything else. I don't wait to introduce tools. If something is useful in session one, we'll use it. You'll leave with a clearer sense of what we're working toward and at least one thing you can take with you. Most importantly, you'll know whether this feels like the right fit — and that matters as much to me as it does to you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every session begins with a brief pause — a breathwork or grounding practice to help you arrive fully and settle your nervous system before we dive in. From there, my work follows three phases: Resourcing — building the internal stability and safety needed before processing begins. This is where breathwork, grounding, and regulation tools come in. Processing — using EMDR or Brainspotting to work directly with what's been stuck. This is a bottom-up approach, meaning we work with the body and nervous system, not just the thinking mind. Integration — making meaning of what shifted, anchoring new patterns, and translating the work into your daily life using ACT and values-based action. You don't have to relive everything to heal it. The process is designed to move what's been blocked without overwhelming your system.
