“Dan has been great to work with. He listens and gives great feedback and coping skills. He has helped me navigate through my fears and anxiety and better understand myself. He never judges and makes me feel comfortable laying it all out there. I was always the type of guy against therapy. Dan has changed my mind on that. ”

Getting to know Daniel Dean

Hello! My name is Dan, and I have been in the psychology and human services field since 2010. I earned my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2018 from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. I specialize in helping people dealing with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. One of the most powerful effects I have found in therapy is providing a safe space where you are heard, understood, and accepted. We all experience stress and struggles at times, and there is great healing in exploring and acknowledging those feelings. In therapy, I help uncover the root causes of behavior, which are connected to your feelings and focus. I work with you to discover unmet needs, feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, and moments when you feel lost.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I really enjoy working one on one with people to help them reach their goals! I approach therapy in a solution focused and person-centered style, walking alongside with you from where you are to where you want to be! I provide a warm, non-judgmental environment to therapy, bringing safety and privacy to our sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will set goals together to decrease the unwanted thoughts and emotions you have, lower your stressors, and increase your overall quality of life! You can expect to process through short term goals that will help you achieve your long-term ones.
