“He helped me overcome un 6 months what others failed to do in 25 years. He very very good. Infact, there really are no words, no phrases in the English language that can truly express how happy and content I have become while under his care and tutelage. A true Blessing from God!”

Getting to know Daniel Dennis Parnell

Biography: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I facilitate the spiritual, mental and emotional healing process through talk therapy. The focus of most of my adult life has been to be a skilled helper to people in need. As I moved through my theological training, I realized that, often, others needed deeper support than "church" alone could give. I pursued further education to become a clinical counselor to meet those needs. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including, outpatient community mental health, inpatient/outpatient substance abuse/addiction, sex offender therapy in the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, mental health professional in the Florida Department of Corrections, inpatient and day treatment of chronically mentally ill, and private practice. I believe my gift, in the counseling relationship, is that I help others see things for themselves. I also have a Christian world view which informs my interaction with others. I am a compassionate, non judgmental, "Wounded healer". Yes, I have had to negotiate life's struggles like anyone else. So, it is not just an academic exercise with me. I offer compassionate support while we work through your mental health issues including, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, fear, grief, loss, codependency, and self esteem issues.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Being an educated Christian has definitely been a huge plus!!

I appreciate your insight and your faith
Dennis is an incredible person. I’ve fought with anger issues since I was 15 yrs old, when by Dad died of cancer and his sister stole the family business by poisoning my grandfathers mind. My Dad was his shining light and went into a deep depression allowing her to control every aspect of his life, including not seeing my Mom and my brother and sister. I took this rage and anger out on others every chance I got - physically, verbally… This continued for 50 years. Last year, I had a blowout with my sons that impacted our relationship to the point where my oldest son wouldn’t speak to me for close to a year. He said it reminded him of the hurtful words I used as arrows when he was younger. I’m now retired and took this to heart. I knew I had to change if I wanted my family back. That’s when things began to change. I had a session with Dennis and i knew instantly this man could help me. In 3 short months I’m a different man - I no longer have outbursts. Dennis has guided me on how to use anger properly to fix issues. No cutting words, no cursing and cutting people off due to road rage and most importantly have begun the healing process with those I love the most that were afraid to be around me, not knowing what would come next. They no longer live on eggshells and Dennis has shown me how to use anger as an ally. Express your anger in a positive way by being assertive - not aggressive. Think before you react - common sense I didn’t have control over. In any case, I never would be in such a peaceful relaxed state of mind if our paths didn’t cross. I give Dennis all the credit for the 180 I’ve done in such a short period. If you have anger, depression or anxiety issues I’d highly recommend giving Dennis a try. Like me, I’m sure that after the first session you’ll realize that you can and will turn your life around by working with him. Thank you Dennis Parnell for all you’ve done for me. I look forward to working with you.
Would recommend to anyone
Knowledgeable, compassionate, easy to talk to, and made me truly understand that even Jesus said that you love others as you love yourself rather than neglecting you! It was nice talking with someone who has traversed life and has incredible wisdom and faith. He is educated, intelligent, and used his vast resources to communicate understanding and forward progress. I was grateful for his guidance and honesty even when it was saying something that did not feel the greatest. I look forward to my next session.
