Hi, I'm Dan. I'm a licensed psychotherapist with a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and a Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have also worked as a school counselor and as a behavior therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, adolescents/teens, behavioral issues, stress, coping skills, life transitions, mood disorders, relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem, self-harm, spirituality, trauma, and thought disorders.
I believe in making therapy as easy as possible and creating a therapeutic environment in which my clients feel comfortable; sessions with my clients are always a safe space. I believe in meeting clients where they are at; your goals for therapy are my goals. Whether you're dealing with severe trauma, anxiety, depression, or whatever life throws at you, I am here to help.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Starting therapy can be challenging, so I believe in making the first session as comfortable as possible. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship starts with building strong rapport and trust between the client and the therapist. Your therapeutic goals are my own goals. More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
