Getting to know Daniel Joseph
Daniel graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an interest in Finance, as well as a Master’s in Counselor Education. With professional experiences in asset management, recruiting, and executive search, Daniel looks at counseling as a collaborative project where clients and counselors find innovative solutions to achieve their life goals. These goals may be tackling depression and anxiety, healing from past trauma, or adjusting to a new school, but they can also be in areas like stress and time management.
Daniel’s training experience in college counseling gave him a unique opportunity to observe and study the transition from adolescence into adulthood. The challenges and opportunities observed motivated him to want to further help clients as they continuously develop and adjust to their roles in life. This drive to collaborate with clients is shown in his Solution Focused treatments that also introduce elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help educate clients on identifying aspects of their mental health and life experiences.
Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys a fun video game, a moving poem, a pleasant song, and a day on the golf course.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Working with me is like being the lead in a group project. You are the expert on all things you. I am the person in the group who asks you questions that will help you adjust your strategies in order to reach the goal that you want for yourself.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
After establishing background through intake, the goal is to list out therapeutic goals and objectives. These goals and objectives are processed one at a time based on what you prioritize at the beginning of each session.
