What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to bring a warm, caring presence, while still seeking, gently, to challenge my clients to feel more deeply or to sit with what's uncomfortable. If you choose to work with me, you will find that I deeply respect your privacy, your vulnerability and your trust. I will strive to provide therapy as thoughtfully and candidly as I can. With your permission, we'll discover and make room for hidden parts of you that are in the way of a fuller and more authentic life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In addition to my prior education, I routinely engage in training and consultation in contemporary psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have significant experience in treating anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, and trauma, alongside extensive work with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients. I also bring special expertise on the dissonance and search for belonging that comes with multicultural identity, especially among first and second generation immigrants. I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
