Hi there, I'm Daniel! As a therapist, I work to help make clients feel grounded and supported in our session appointments. I strive for authenticity when working with others. I try to help clients value honesty within themselves and in others. I hope to be able to facilitate growth and change in our time together. My focus I love working with clients who are open to creating a dialogue and discussion. Therapy is hard and at times challenging, but being open to discussion makes it easier for both of us. Therapy cannot progress well if neither of us participates. My approach I work to create tangible goals to address concerns for this phase of life. Therapy does not need to be a lifelong treatment, but therapy can be for different phases of your life. Enter and exit therapy as we work through specific and tangible treatment goals. My communication style I tell my clients quite often to speak with kindness, respect, and honesty. I enjoy being direct in addressing potential barriers to treatment. I try to encourage clients in the best way I can to effectively help them reach their treatment goals. My journey to mental healthcare I am a big advocate for mental health. Growing up, mental health treatment was highly stigmatized. I wanted to learn what "mental health" looked like. How family, culture, relationships, and our environment influence us for good or bad. Becoming a License Provider was simply my personal proof that mental health is important. Our first session In our first session, I have to assess medical necessity/need, but at the same time, you'll be introduced to how I like to approach therapy. The first session would be the most contrived session. But the sessions afterward would be a better assessment of how we can work well together.
