What should a new client know about working with you?

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience in psychotherapy and a background in social work since 2008, I am dedicated to supporting individuals toward self-discovery and personal growth. I believe that engaging in my own therapeutic work has been instrumental in shaping my empathetic and effective approach to therapy. My practice focuses on working with emerging adults and women. I particularly enjoy working with university students, young adults unsure of their next steps in life, and multitasking women striving to balance various aspects of their lives. I embrace an anti-perfectionist stance, encouraging clients to let go of unrealistic standards and embrace their authentic selves. With a deep understanding of anxiety, worry, overthinking, and imposter syndrome, I help clients navigate these challenges with an approach that is evidenced based and gentle. Together, we will explore the different facets of your identity, fostering self-awareness and resilience. I hold a profound respect for all individuals and am committed to providing a safe, inclusive space for everyone. As an LGBTQIA+ ally, my practice is a welcoming environment where all clients can feel secure and supported. I invite you to reach out and begin this transformative process together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Hello! I am looking forward to working with you. Please be advised that when you book with me on ZocDoc you will also receive a message from me to create an account on Headway. I will give you the link. Headway is where you will enter some of your demographics and insurance information. They are essentially responsible for billing and invoices. As far as our first session, it will be an exploratory session where I get to know you and your reasons for entering therapy. Lots of questions and sometimes will feel a bit mechanical, but I assure you after that session it will be relaxed and comfortable for you.
