Getting to know Danielle Alessio

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience in mental health clinics, hospitals, and school-based programs. Throughout my career, I have provided treatment for a diverse range of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, family conflicts, women’s issues, relationship difficulties, and coping with chronic medical conditions. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Drexel University and a Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am dedicated to providing compassionate and empowering support to individuals on their journey toward mental and emotional well-being. My approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration, working closely with you to navigate and overcome the obstacles you may face. I believe that humor can be a powerful tool in therapy, helping to lighten the emotional load. With a blend of warmth, understanding, and a dash of humor, I aim to make our sessions both productive and enjoyable.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I utilize a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and a strength-based approach. CBT helps in identifying and challenging negative thought patterns. Mindfulness encourages a deeper connection with the present moment, enhancing your emotional resilience. Together, we work to uncover and harness your strengths, empowering you to face life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. My goal is to support you in building a balanced life, guiding you towards meaningful change.

Danielle is a wonderful person and a true professional. Simply amazing!! Has helped a lot my child and my family. We are so grateful!
Danielle truly helped me at a really tough time. Day 1 I came out of the session with tools for success and slowly felt better each week. I highly recommend Danielle and her solution oriented approach.
Right from our initial visit I knew working with Danielle was going to be a good experience. She made me feel so comfortable and was warm and kind. Within a few weeks I already had a major decrease in my anxiety and began feeling in control of my life again. I highly recommend her.
I can't express how grateful I am to have found such an incredible therapist. Working with Danielle has been a game-changer for my anxiety. From the very first session, she made me feel heard, supported, and understood. Her approach is both compassionate and practical, and I appreciate how she tailors each session to my specific needs. She’s helped me develop coping strategies that have made a real difference in my day-to-day life. What I value most is her ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space where I can be myself and work through challenges at my own pace. Thanks to her, I feel more confident in managing my anxiety and more hopeful about the future. I truly look forward to our sessions, and I can’t recommend her enough.
