Getting to know Danielle Becknell

Trauma therapist by trade, cryptid art nymph by spirit. I help children, teens, and adults process trauma, regulate their nervous systems, and stop letting one intrusive thought ruin their entire week. Equal parts evidence-based practice and have you considered drinking water before the emotional collapse? Outside of therapy, I am a pet parent, artist, recovering perfectionist, and emotionally attached to watercolor tortoises for reasons I cannot explain. My personality exists somewhere between mindfulness workbook, and raccoon holding a therapy degree. My goal? Helping people heal without losing the parts of themselves that make them human. Also maybe convincing at least one client to unclench their jaw today. In all seriousness, I am a person experiencing the world through the lens of neurodivergence and trauma. Besides being a licensed clinical social worker and liensed clinical addictions counselor, I'm also recognized by the state of Indiana as a Certified Peer Support Professional and carry national certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I'm a Master Reiki Practitioner and certified as a sound healer and therapeutic art life coach. I take the business of healing and living seriously, but believe that we all need to honor our whimsy, creativity, and sense of childlike wonder.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim.
