Danielle Bradshaw, LMHC

Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Danielle! Within both the physical space and the virtual frame existing as 'the session', I have been welcoming adolescents, individual adults, couples and families to a better understanding of themselves and their interpersonal others since 2016. Welcome. My focus In the therapeutic space, my hope is that you and I will have the opportunity to approach your current ways of relating through a lens that sheds light on destructive or harmful patterns in your existence currently. I believe this will better help us to find paths that may result in the greatest possible growth and healing for you. My approach My therapeutic emphasis is relational psychodynamic psychotherapy. Drawing from belief in this world, I focus on integrating psychodynamic (paying attention to dynamic tensions and resulting conscious distresses), phenomenolological (looking at the meaning of one’s experience), Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral, plus a Family Systems approaches. My communication style I attempt to offer an emotionally safe and positive environment where you feel able to freely be yourself as you are, where you find yourself in the moment. Your unique story is what will empower us to begin weaving a path to the depths of what you may safely feel the desire to reveal when and how you are ready. My journey to mental healthcare My story...raised by struggling single parent with coping choices equating to overnight absences and unknown whereabouts, locks on closed doors holding numerous dark secrets at neighborhood sitters, and filling pungent-smelling mason jars, the act serving as a self-soothing tool, strategically hidden in closets of home. Desiring growth, now here. My goals for you I view relational psychodynamic psychotherapy as an ongoing process for personal growth/exploration of one’s self while in relationship. I seek to address the entire self, mind, body and spirit, within a framework of consistent, ongoing sessions.
