Getting to know Danielle Dyer

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, working primarily with adolescents and young adults. I am passionate about reconnecting clients to pieces of themselves that have been fragmented by traumatic experiences, anxiety, anger, grief, and a host of other challenges we face in our daily lives. My approach I use traditional talk therapy and prioritize building a therapeutic relationship where my clients feel safe and supported?validated and understood. I believe in the mind-body connection and bring that into my work as often as appropriate. Using a humanistic, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach, I work collaboratively with my clients to achieve their goals. My focus The majority of my passion and therapeutic experience has come from working with adolescents and young adults. I work primarily with clients dealing with trauma and PTSD symptoms, grief, anger management, anxiety, relationship issues, and phase-of-life challenges. My communication style I often use humor to connect with my clients and prioritize creating a therapeutic environment where everyone feels safe and free to express their true, authentic nature. While I am well trained and continue to educate myself daily on best practices, I hope to create an environment that feels more like talking with a friend who just happens to know all the right questions to ask and leaves you thinking deeply about yourself after our interactions. My goals for you Goal setting is always client-led and collaborative. I am a firm believer in "it's not a problem until it's a problem"; I will never tell you what you need to "fix" in your life. You let me know which direction you want to steer this boat, and I will help us arrive there safely.
