Getting to know Danielle Gersh

Hi there, I'm Danielle! My name is Danielle Gersh, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is truly a people person. I believe relationships help build trust, and I would like to get to know you so I can better understand which approach fits your needs. I recognize that different approaches work for different folks since "one size" does not fit all. Together, we can explore feelings that may be holding you back, patterns of behavior that aren't serving you well, and/or focus on moving past an unexpected event. We will work collaboratively to better understand your needs. My approach I like to use a psychodynamic approach, which allows you to feel safe while identifying dysfunctional intergenerational patterns and understanding their impact on your thoughts and beliefs. I also provide a cognitive behavioral approach to help build awareness of your thoughts and how they influence your beliefs and decisions. Lastly, I can assist you with a solution-focused approach if you prefer to concentrate on overcoming a setback. My focus I work with adults who may feel a bit lost and unsure how to get their lives back on track due to life transitions such as becoming new parents, relationship challenges, relocations, divorce, retirement, or loss of a partner. I have extensive experience working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma and/or child abuse. I also support adults experiencing symptoms associated with ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and Personality Disorders. Additionally, I work with adults struggling with both mental health issues and addiction, providing counseling services alongside substance abuse treatment and/or while under the care of a physician for medication management.
