Hi there! I’m Danielle Mann, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I obtained my BA in Psychology from Adelphi University and my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Throughout my time in the field, I have worked with clients with numerous diagnoses and backgrounds. Some of these areas include Anxiety, Forensic, Women’s Issues, Family/Relationship Issues, LGBTQIA, and Psychotic Disorders.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Finding a therapist whom you feel comfortable with and can develop a good working rapport with is essential for the therapeutic relationship to blossom. I pull from a variety of modalities, but most importantly I work from a person-centered approach, as each individual is unique and therapy is not meant to be a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe it is essential to provide a safe space for all clients and work from a strength-based perspective.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, I will create a warm and inviting space for you to feel comfortable sharing what you are hoping to gain from therapy. My hope is for you to leave the session feeling validated and heard and that we can continue on a therapeutic journey together to help you feel empowered and well-prepared as you tackle your day-to-day life.
